Passive Conditioning Shelters

The Passive Conditioning System, suitably dimensioned is extremely reliable and has an operational life span which is usually longer than those obtainable with standard active conditioning systems. The use of passive conditioning shelters is possible in desert and other geographic areas where there are big thermal differences between night and day.

The use of passive conditioning shelters is a must when the provision of commercial power is not currently available and it has to be produced locally with expensive systems such as:

•  solar cells
•  Aeolian generators
•  generating sets

And where maintenance is difficult and expensive to carry out, such as in desert or remote areas.

The passive conditioning system allows the total control of the internal climatic conditions (temperature and humidity) resulting in:

•  significant reduction in operating costs
•  reduced maintenance
•  complete isolation of the interior from the external ambient
•  reduction of the internal thermal oscillations
•  Improved equipment lifetime.
All the elements constituting a passive cooling system are housed in a separate subsystem, structurally independent from the main structure, which can be packed and shipped separately with substantial savings in freight costs. As an additional advantage, the configuration of the passive cooling systems does not reduce the internal available area for the installation of the other equipment.
